The TEVA corporate family in Hungary is 17-years-old this year; it was established not only from renowned pharmaceutical manufacturers - Biogal from Debrecen in Eastern Hungary and Human in Gödöllő near Budapest, but also pharmaceutical distributors Humanpharma and Humantrade. The international regard which our pharmaceutical expertise commands is demonstrated by the fact that after the acquisition of the IVAX Drug Research Institute, Hungary has become the centre for TEVA's European manufacturing and research and development. The main markets for the active ingredients manufactured here in Hungary are the European Union and the United States.

The TEVA group - which employs 2500 specialist workers in Hungary - has set up a pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing division in Sajóbábony; this has not only created manufacturing capacity but career opportunities in the disadvantaged Borsod Region. The TEVA Logistic Centre has been providing fast and accurate pharmaceutical deliveries to hospitals and pharmacies since March 2006, using the best of 21st century technology.
